His render was created using the in-game instrument, which is a decent attempt considering the creation suite has some notable limitations, but it is not precisely what fans have come to expect when it comes to visual authenticity--notably on next-gen consoles.

Haliburton wasn't scanned, but he was seemingly created by an artist, but maybe they did not have good reference pictures--which it seems the Kings are speaking to--or the render came out too dark. While 2K is not just a little business deserving of sympathy for consequences, it is important to realize they were unable to scan the majority of the rookie class, and also the players in the NBA Bubble at that time they traditionally handle that region of the match.
