The price of becoming among the very popular video games in the world is that the spotlight that success creates isn't always kind. The NBA 2K franchise is enormous, with tens of millions of

players worldwide, and the game is held to a high standard. There are several layers of this sport which are critiqued, and one of the most frequent areas for criticism is that the accuracy of player leaves.
Haliburton is a rookie, so there is a chance you may not be completely knowledgeable about his face. Here's a side-by-side of Haliburton that reveals him NBA 2K21 on PS5 and a real-life picture on the right.
This is a frequent problem for 2K--particularly this year. Newly rendered players happen to be coming out far darker. That is true here with Haliburton as he is three or more colors darker in 2K than he is in real life. His eyes also appear to be a bit too broad. Certainly, there is room for advancement for this render and 2K has been updating the likenesses for gamers since the game has been released on the two generations of consoles.
Apparently, they have not made their way into the Kings roster as another rookie, Jahmi'us Ramsey is also inaccurately rendered. Ramsey wasn't scanned or even rendered by one of those musicians working with 2K. His render was created using the in-game instrument, which is a decent attempt considering the creation suite has some notable limitations, but it is not precisely what fans have come to expect when it comes to visual authenticity--notably on next-gen consoles.
Haliburton wasn't scanned, but he was seemingly created by an artist, but maybe they did not have good reference pictures--which it seems the Kings are speaking to--or the render came out too dark. While 2K is not just a little business deserving of sympathy for consequences, it is important to realize they were unable to scan the majority of the rookie class, and also the players in the NBA Bubble at that time they traditionally handle that region of the match.
The pandemic all but eliminated their access to players, and I have been told
nba2king
is taking alternate routes to acquire players scanned throughout the offseason. That includes taking the scanning rig on the path to numerous places to get quality scans they could use in the sport. Hopefully, the more inaccurate renders will be made better and the various bugs doing damage to MyNBA and Play Today Online will be resolved as well.
